iphone phucked

They gave me a new iphone this morning.  They said my battery died.
I asked if this happens a lot..  
I was told, they make a lot of iphones.  Everyonce in awhile there is a bad battery.
They do not make the batteries so that is out of their controls.
So I need to synch my phone tonight while I am sleeping.
